pylabrobot.opentrons.flex.flex_head.FlexHead8.mix#

async FlexHead8.mix(target: Plate | Sequence[Well], volume: float, repetitions: int = 1, *, column: int | None = None, use_channels: Sequence[int] | None = None, liquid_height: float | None = None, offset: Coordinate | None = None, aspirate_flow_rate: float | None = None, dispense_flow_rate: float | None = None, final_push_out: float | None = None) → None#

Mix a plate column in place, positioning and retracting only once.

volume is per mounted tip and repetitions must be a positive integer. Pass plate.column(c) or a Plate with a zero-based column. Partial columns use the mounted layout and use_channels, as in aspirate. Tips must start empty. liquid_height is measured above the cavity floor (default 1 mm); offsets and clearance checks use the deck frame.

Prime above the plate, then alternate in-place aspiration and dispensing. Intermediate dispenses use zero push-out so the next draw needs no priming. final_push_out=None leaves the last push-out to the robot’s default. Flow rates are in uL/s and default to the pipette’s tip-dependent rates. Each successful stroke commits its own volume transfer; a failure leaves the completed strokes tracked and does not attempt further movement.
