async VANTAstarDriver.estimate_run_time(parameters: bytes) → int

The run time in s the reader expects for a read of the RUN fields parameters, without reading: the RUN is sent with CalcTimeOnly set, as Voyager sends it while a method is edited.

On the tested reader every read finished 2.5-7 s before its estimate (a read sent with the drawer out took longer: the reader first moves the plate in). Each read logs its estimate at INFO.

Raises:

CommandRefusedError – if the reader refuses the fields, as it refuses them for a read.
