pylabrobot.brooks.precise_flex.PreciseFlexVision.start_led#

async PreciseFlexVision.start_led(camera: Literal['front', 'bottom'] | int = 'front', brightness: int = 100, delay: int | None = None, use_server: Literal['controller', 'vision'] = 'controller') → None#

Turn on the IntelliGuide camera lighting (LightControl vision tool); no arm motion.

Sets the led tool’s led (“bank” in Brooks lingo) and brightness, then applies them. brightness=0 turns the LEDs off, or use .stop_led().

Parameters:
  • camera (Literal['front', 'bottom'] | int) – which integrated LED source - "front"/1 or "bottom"/2. Drives the tool’s LED bank (1 = front-facing, 2 = bottom-facing).

  • brightness (int) – LED brightness 0-100 (PWM duty); 0 turns the LEDs off.

  • delay (int | None) – optional light time delay in milliseconds.

  • use_server (Literal['controller', 'vision']) – which server carries out the change. "controller" (the default) relays VToolProperty writes and applies them with Vprocess through the arm controller. "vision" writes the led tool properties straight to the vision server and applies them with system.runtool; it needs a connected vision server (vision_host).

Return type:

None
