BioTek Synergy HT using its legacy serial protocol.

This driver supports basecode 7090202 and has been tested on firmware 2.24. Other basecodes and devices lacking the required protocol capabilities are rejected. Shaking is supported before an absorbance read. Fluorescence, luminescence, standalone shaking, kinetics, and custom plate geometries are not implemented.

Parameters:

  • device_id (str | None) – USB FTDI serial number, required when multiple adapters are connected.

  • timeout (float) – Command timeout in seconds.

  • read_timeout (float) – Time allowed for a complete absorbance measurement, in seconds.

Attributes

serial_number

Most recently queried reader serial number, distinct from the USB adapter ID.

temperature_range

Reported minimum and maximum temperature setpoints, in degrees Celsius.

version

Firmware version reported during setup.

Exchange an ASCII command, returning its ACK/data/status wire response.

set_temperature(temperature)

Enable incubation at an integer Celsius setpoint in the reported range.

setup()

Connect and initialize the reader.

stop()

Disconnect without disabling incubation or aborting a plate measurement.

stop_heating()

Disable incubation.
