pylabrobot.brooks.precise_flex.PreciseFlex400#

pylabrobot.brooks.precise_flex.PreciseFlex400(simulation: bool = False, declared_configuration_json: str | None = None, driver: PreciseFlexDriver | None = None, name: str = 'PreciseFlex400') → PreciseFlexDevice#

A PreciseFlex 400: its base plate, for the driver to build the arm on.

Nothing about the arm is declared here. The column, the carriage, the links and the gripper are built at setup, from the configuration the controller answers - a simulated one answers as its declared configuration. Where the controller reports from is pf400_manipulator.SHOULDER_AXIS, within the base plate.

Parameters:
  • simulation (bool) – whether to build a simulated arm, which answers without being connected. Superseded by driver, which says exactly what to drive.

  • declared_configuration_json (str | None) – path to a declared configuration, for the simulated arm this builds. Defaults to RECORDING_PF400. A driver given outright brings its own.

  • driver (PreciseFlexDriver | None) – the driver to drive the device through.

  • name (str) – what to call this one.

Returns:

The device.

Raises:

ValueError – If neither a driver nor simulation is given, since there is then nothing to drive.

Return type:

PreciseFlexDevice
